Take-Two planning huge game from major franchise next year

At the fiscal year results reporting today, Take-Two games backed-up it's profit estimations for the 2019 fiscal year (April 1, 2018 - March 31, 2019), citing Red Dead Redemption 2 and a "highly-anticipated new title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises." The company also stated it will not be showing any products at E3.

The release of Red Dead Redemption 2 makes it unlikely for it to be Grand Theft Auto 6 or Max Payne 4, and I doubt a new Battleborn or Mafia would be highly anticipated. But what about a new Civilization or Borderlands? I'm going to put my money on a new BioShock game.

I was inspired by our own Darren Nakamura yesterday when he spoke to Battleborn's flaws and how Gearbox was doing nothing to fix them.

At this point after knowing what we know about the project's lower-than-anticipated sales, it can only be described as disappointing.

Battleborn: a great game with a fatal flaw

One year ago today, Battleborn released to the world. And sure, we have fun with Randy Pitchford's ridiculous tweet about it, but the game holds a secret not many know: actually, it is very good.

It could have been popular. Heck, I think it should have been the game of the year. But it had one major thing holding it back. No, it wasn't that other game people (incorrectly) compare it to. Battleborn's fatal flaw is that while it was great, it took too long to let players know it.

Paladins Free Open Beta Launches On Consoles

Hi-Rez Studio’s hero shooter caught some flak last year for looking and feeling a lot like Overwatch, but it’s still managed to maintain a health presence on Steam’s most-played games list. We’ll see if the trend continues as Paladins launches into free open beta on PS4 and Xbox One.
