New to Borderlands 2? Here Are 88 Free SHiFT Codes That Still Work

With all the massive sales going down this holiday season, it’s very likely you and a few pals might want to take a return trip to Pandora and experience everything Borderlands 2 has to offer. Developer Gearbox’s magnum opus is still going strong. You can still take advantage of years of accumulated SHiFT codes for tons of free rewards.

SHiFT Codes are totally free rewards handed out by Gearbox for free skins, heads, or Golden Keys used to unlock a special loot crate that’s always stuffed with awesome stuff. But — these codes do expire, and expire often. That’s why the Borderlands 2 community pulled together to generate a list of over 88 still-active SHiFT Codes. SHiFT Codes List

SHiFT Codes can be redeemed in-game, just follow these instructions:

  1. Select “Extras” on the Main Menu
  2. Select “SHiFT Codes”
  3. Create an account if you haven’t already.
  4. Go to “My Offers” and select “SHiFT Code”
  5. Enter the 25-Digit SHiFT Code and press “Submit”

You’ll unlock whatever rewards are connected to the particular code you’ve input — some are new skins or heads, while most are Golden Keys. The list below will reward over 250 Golden Keys, which’ll give you plenty of item rolls from the Golden Key crate!

  • Notes:
    • The maximum number of Golden Keys displayed by SHiFT is 255.
    • If you unlock heads / skins for DLC you do not own, you won’t be able to use those heads / skins. If you delete / sell these items, they’ll be gone forever. Store them somewhere safe!
    • These codes are only tested ON PC.
